New (Unactivated): Brand new and never powered on or registered. The warranty starts when you activate it, so you get the full warranty period.

New (Activated): Brand new, but the supplier or telco has already started the warranty. The box may not be sealed. It costs less because the remaining warranty is shorter.

Used (Like New): Flawless screen with no scratches. Body has minimal signs of wear, with any imperfections undetectable from 12 inches away.

Used (Good): Body shows normal signs of use, such as light scratches and/or scuff marks. Screen may have faint scratches, visible only when the display is off.
